Weekly classes for kids at Hidden Oaks address nature, science topics

Hidden Oaks Nature Center, Annandale’s best spot for kids to experience and learn about nature, is starting a series of classes for kids next week.

The classes are these topics:
  • Meteorology—starts Monday, March 28, 3 p.m.; ages 5-10; program code 308 271 6401.
  • Zoology (Science behind Animals)—starts Wednesday, March 30, 4 p.m.; ages 6-10; program code 308 272 2801.
  • Dinky Dinos—starts Thursday, March 31; ages 3-5; program code 308 266 1201.
  • Fossils, Bones, Rocks & Teeth—starts Friday, April 1; ages 6-12; program code 308 271 2701.
The weekly classes last five weeks and cost $42 per child. Dinky Dinos is 45 minutes; the rest are 55 minutes. To register, visit Fairfax County Park Authority Parktakes online or call 703/222-4664.
