Public invited to workshop Thursday evening on 'Building Community'

Do you wish you knew more of your neighbors? Would you like to get your neighborhood involved in more social events and improvement projects? Would you like to reach out to the diverse members of your communities?

The public is invited to a special workshop on “Building Community,” sponsored by the Mason District Council, Thursday evening, April 7 in the Mason District Government Center. Come at 7 p.m. to mix and mingle with leaders from local community associations

At 7:30, Norma Lopez and Elisa Lueck from the Fairfax County Department of Neighborhood and Community Services will present a hands-on workshop on creating social capital and building community. This is a popular session from the “Neighborhood College” series, and Lopez recently facilitated the Annandale Dialogue on Diversity sessions.
