New Year's Eve celebrations scheduled

Looking for something fun to do on New Year’s Eve close to home? Here are some options in Annandale and nearby:

Sunset Grille – Special dinner (pork, chicken, steak, or crab) served 5-9 p.m. Beginning at 9 p.m., music, by DJ Syn of Synergy Productions; party favors and champagne toast at midnight. 7250 Columbia Pike, Annandale; 703/658-0928.

Public House No. 7 – Special three-course dinner (beef tenderloin or salmon) for $35 per person. Call 703/942-6383 to reserve a table. No cover for New Year’s Eve party with dancing, DJ “O,” champagne toast, and balloon drop; 9 p.m.-1:30 a.m. 6315 Leesburg Pike, Seven Corners.

Falls Church Watch Night, a family-friendly News Year’s Eve celebration – This annual event, sponsored by the city of Falls Church, features seven bands, swing dancing, karaoke, a parading dragon, free noisemakers and snacks, fire pits, a moon bounce and other activities for children, and the lowering of the star at midnight. Intersection of Broad Street (Route 7) and Washington Street and various nearby venues. 7 p.m.-midnight. Free shuttle from the East Falls Church Metro station. For information, call 703/248-5077.
