Taxi driver robbed on Cherokee Avenue

A 49-year-old taxi driver was reportedly robbed by two men, who may have been in another taxi, in a parking lot in the 5500 block of Cherokee Avenue at about 2 a.m., June 21, the Franconia Police District reports.

The taxi driver noticed a green Ford Crown Victoria driving slowly near him. The driver and passenger of the Ford got out, produced pistols, and demanded the victim’s belongings. He produced them; they took the items and fled in the car. The victim then observed that the car the suspects were driving appeared to be a taxi.
