A brand-new Advance Auto Parts store will open in the Little River Plaza shopping center Friday, Sept. 20, at 7:30 a.m. The store, at 7448 Little River Turnpike, is the former home of Blockbuster Video, which closed in March.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony is scheduled for 3 p.m. on Sept. 20. Ivan Madrigal, the store's general manager, will present a $1,000 check to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
To celebrate the opening, Advance Auto Parts has two-for-one specials on brake fluid, fuel injector cleaner, and Tire Wet, a product to make tires clean and shiny. There are 4,000 Advance Auto Parts stores in 39 states, including five within 10 miles of Annandale.
In addition to a wide selection of auto products, the store offers several free services, including installation of windshield wipers and batteries and checking a vehicle’s electrical system and battery. Customers can drop off used motor oil and batteries for recycling during regular store hours to ensure these materials don’t end up in landfills.
Advance Auto Parts is open Monday through Saturday 7:30 a.m.-9 p.m. and Sunday 9 a.m.-8 p.m.
