The Annandale Parade is an annual tradition

The Marching Atoms.
A longtime Annandale tradition, the annual fall parade, marched along Columbia Pike Saturday morning. The Annandale High School marching band, dressed for Halloween, was a highlight, as were the elaborately costumed Bolivian dancers.

Other participants included Scouts, elected leaders, schools, businesses, and community organizations. The grand marshal this year was Mike Magill, owner of Magill’s Famous Pizza and Buffet. The annual parade is sponsored by the Annandale Chamber of Commerce. [More pictures are on the Annandale Blog Facebook page.]

  1. What is going on with Aldi and the old Bloom?

Did Penny Gross and Gerry Connolly boast about all their success stories in Annandale, like all the abandoned businesses and all the Title Max pop ups as their version of urban renewal?

  2. This just looks depressing. Annandale is such a hole these days. It's sad.

  4. Annandale is not what it used to be. Sad to see Safeway robbed on an early Friday evening.

  5. Wow. A story about a nice little parade that celebrates our town's community gets all this flak and grumbling. You people should go back to bed, pull the covers up over your heads, and stay there. I believe the worst thing in Annandale are the people who can't stop complaining about E-V-E-R-Y-T-H-I-N-G! You all must hate sunshine and babies, too.
