'Forever loyal' bank robbery suspect arrested

Huie [FCPD]
A suspect arrested for a robbery at a Capital One bank at 110 W. Broad St. in Falls Church June 10 could be the “Forever Loyal Bandit” wanted in six other bank robberies over the past two years, the Fairfax County Police Department reports.

The suspect, Amin Huie, 42, of Arlington, was charged with robbery and is being held at the Arlington County Adult Detention Facility. FCPD obtained four additional robbery warrants that will be served on Huie upon his release.

Following the arrest, an investigation conducted by FCPD, the Arlington and Falls Church police departments, and the FBI Washington Field Office Violent Crimes Task Force determined that Huie could be responsible for six bank robberies and one attempted robbery in Fairfax and Arlington counties.

In several of those robberies surveillance cameras captured the suspect wearing a T-shirt with the slogan “forever loyal.”

Four of those robberies were at banks in Mason District: the Capital One Bank at the Seven Corners Shopping Center on July 21, 2014, and Oct. 30, 2015; the Sun Trust Bank at the Crossroads Center in Bailey’s Crossroads on Aug. 9, 2014; and the Capital One Bank at the Crossroads Center on June 24, 2014.

In other crime news, the FCPD reports an incident involving malicious wounding and assault by mob in the 2900 block of Patrick Henry Drive in Seven Corners on June 10. Just before midnight, one man approached another and started an argument. Two more suspects joined in. The victim tried to walk away but the three suspects followed him and assaulted him. The victim sustained life-threatening injuries and was treated at a local hospital.

All three suspects were described as Hispanic, 5 feet 5 to 6 inches tall and approximately 150 to 160 pounds. One of the suspects was also treated at a hospital for a non-life-threatening injury.

  1. I'm SO glad they FINALLY caught this CREEP (I'm being nice!) Is there any way I can ask him where my jewelry might be? This area can finally relax a bit, businesses and residents alike.
