The guest speakers and ribbon cutting are scheduled for 10:15 a.m.
Fitness trainers from PR Performance Fitness outside Chicken Pollo.
PR Performance Fitness co-owners Rachel Martin and champion body builder Pablo Amaya offer one-on-one personal training, cross training, performance stretching, body sculpting, nutritional counseling, stretch and flex assessments. and boot camps. New classes are expected to start soon in kick boxing and yoga.

Fitness instructors at PR are reaching out to the public and local businesses to raise awareness about healthy lifestyles.

On June 3, Amaya and his colleagues set up a table outside Chicken Pollo, a popular Peruvian restaurant at 7320 Little River Turnpike, Annandale, where they conducted free blood pressure tests and offered advice on nutrition.

Trainer Pablo Amaya works with a client at PR Performance Fitness.
Amaya is working with the owner of Chicken Pollo to create new, healthy menu items with more vegetables and fewer carbohydrates – such as spaghetti squash instead of pasta – and kids’ meals with more protein and fruit.

A similar effort is already under way at the Celebrity Delly in Falls Church, Amaya says. That restaurant has added more salads and new, healthier breakfast items, like protein pancakes.

  1. Excited for the grand opening. Rachel and Pablo and all their trainers are fantastic.

  2. My husband does Rachel's boot camp and it has made a tremendous difference to his strength and personal fitness and his level of energy. He does the boot camp three days a week and just loves it - even though Rachel tortures him!
