Park Authority starts outdoor fitness classes

Providence RECenter
The Fairfax County Park Authority is starting a new series of outdoor group fitness classes at RECenter parking lots or patios. Some of the classes start tomorrow, and other start next week. 

You must register and pay in advance. Click here for information on registering. 

The following classes are at RECenters in the Annandale area: 
  • Body Sculpting – Audrey Moore RECenter, Mondays, 8 a.m., starting on June 29.  
  • Boot Camp – Audrey Moore, Fridays, 6 a.m., starting July 3.
  • Cardio Kickboxing – Providence RECenter, Tuesdays, 7 p.m. starting June 30.
  • Cycle Spin – Audrey Moore, Saturdays, 7 a.m., starting June 27, and Tuesdays, 8 a.m., starting June 30. 
  • High-Intensity Interval Training – Providence, Mondays, 6 p.m., starting June 29, and Wednesdays, 6 p.m., starting July 1. 
  • High-Intensity Interval Training – Audrey Moore, Wednesdays, 6 p.m., starting July 1. 
  • Mix It Up – Providence, Tuesdays 9 a.m., starting June 30, and Thursdays, 9 a.m., starting July 2. 
  • Tai Chi Yang Style – Audrey Moore, Sundays, 9:30 a.m., beginning June 28; Sundays, 10:30 a.m., beginning June 28; and Thursdays, 7:30 p.m., beginning July 2 (wait list). 
  • Tai Chi I – Providence, Fridays, 9 a.m. beginning July 3.
  • Tai Chi II – Providence, Tuesdays, 8 a.m. beginning June 30, and Fridays, 10 a.m., beginning July  3.
  • Tai Chi III – Providence, Tuesdays, 9 a.m., beginning June 30.
  • Turbokick – Providence, Mondays, 9 a.m., beginning June 29, and Wednesdays, 9 a.m., beginning July 1.
  • Walking for Fitness – Providence, Saturdays, 9 a.m., beginning June 27.
  • Yoga – Audrey Moore, Mondays, 7 p.m., beginning June 29; and Thursdays, 7 p.m., beginning July 2.
  • Yoga – Providence, Saturdays, 10 a.m., beginning June 27; Mondays, 6 p.m., beginning June 29; Tuesdays, 5:30 p.m., beginning June 30; and Thursdays, 10 a.m., beginning July 2. 
  • Yoga for Stress Management – Providence, Mondays, 5:30 p.m., beginning July 2.
  • Zumba – Audrey Moore, Wednesdays, 9 a.m., beginning July 1.
  • Zumba –  Providence, Wednesdays, 6 p.m., beginning July 1, Fridays, 10 a.m., beginning July 3; and Fridays, 6 p.m., beginning July 3.
  • Zumba Gold (60+) – Providence, Mondays, 9 a.m., beginning June 29, and Wednesdays, 9 a.m., beginning July 1.
