We actually looking in to the legality of this article. We NEVER came in contact with a company called Mill Creek Residential Trust. A company called PMG approached us thru a middle man company to buy our property then combine it with their SHELL and sell it as a package to Mill Creek for X amount that only they know. One of the reasons is that the shell property is becoming less valuable because of the widening of the road and he wants ours What is to blame is not us. They want to get a property chip. For your information 10 to 15 years ago all the houses were offered 900.000 thousand each and a free condo and some refused and now we being blamed and Gross Penny and so on. Do you think we ate the problem in a area like Bailey's Crossroads We are a family restaurant lots of kids come to eat looking at MGV videos and we are the problem! we agree with developing this area we are willing to work with developers and not middle man at 200.000 fees and deals behind our back What is wrong with leaving us with a dissent size restaurant after. No PMG says we have our own people. No elected official can guarantee that any deal will go forward, particularly when the County is not at the table. The facts are that the cost of land in Mason is very high, the margins for development can be slim, and the pro formas just may not have been favorable for the developer. In the end all of Mason was left with a crappy deal. Knowledge of these owners in their former habitat ensures me that I am almost certain that they got greedy. However the developer could have offered them some kind of land swap or presence in the new development. But we will never know will we, because PG doesn't tell when a deal goes bad, as all of her deals do. BTW the owners have moved out of the area. I will boycott the diner because something could have and should have been negotiated and worked out. However if PGross was spearheading that effort its no wonder it has failed like every other project in Mason. Where is Markam Place, the Studios at Carlin Springs and Columbia pike and Avalon Bay, nowhere, all have gone to greener pastures: DC, Alexandria, Arlington and other areas in Fairfax.
